May 8th, 2007 - BioShock, which won a whopping 17 awards at the 2006 E3 show, including several Best of Show titles, promises to be a major blockbuster this summer. Releasing exclusively for the 360 and Windows PC, Microsoft has scored a major coup with this title.
Alone, scared and being hunted down in Rapture, an underwater utopia turned horror story by civil war. It’s a world filled with unique characters and deadly enemies you must ward off using anything you can find. The game destroys conventional genres, as it seeks to integrate RPG, adventure, and shooter elements into an open world that the player has a ton of freedom to explore.
There are three creature types that you will encounter, rumored to be known as Drones, Predators, and Soldiers. You will be wielding weapons of five different classes that can be upgraded as you move throughout the game. Throughout your adventure you will also gain special abilities and attributes by injecting your character with “plasmids”. There will be several different plasmids but only a limited number can be carried at once. The game, which has been in development for over 3 years, is beautifully designed and the story is deep and complex. This game is sure to be a “must-have” title for ’07.
This thrilling RPG-shooter is expecting to be a mental rollercoaster that will keep you guessing and is sure to be a great hit. Keep your eyes open for it late this summer.
